| PHOTOGALLERY - Itäväylä's christmas market 2005
The traditional Christmas market was held at Itäväylä on December 9, 2005. At the same time laundry entrepreneur Pertti Ikonen celebrated his 60 th birthday. At the market people were selling, various spices, tea, dips and salmiac and milk chocolate cakes. Netta Hämäläinen, Julia Puska and Janna Forsell from Haminan keskuskoulu, class 5a were raising funds for camp school. They were selling, for example caps, woollen stockings, candles and calendars. All the products were made by their own class. As tradition demands, there was also a Santa Claus at the market and pony riding had been organised for the kids. In connection with the market, many companies arranged open doors days and offered their customers mulled wine and Christmas pastries .The winner of the ham-lottery is Heikki Malinen from Hamina.
