Recycling saves nature and manufacturing material. You can bring waste paper, cardboard, empty milk and juice containers, glass, waste tins and batteries to the ecological spot at Itäväylä's yard. We will recycle them for you. You can't however bring problem-waste or household waste to the recycling station. There is an own place for problem-waste. In Hamina problem-waste is taken to the smallwastestation, which is located in Salmenkylä, at Suokalliontie (Opposite the Teboil service station) WINNER OF THE NAMECONTEST Winner of trade center Itäväylä's recycling station name contest was preschool Esikko with their suggestion, which was slightly revised by prize council. Members of prize council were, city gardener Veikko Lahtela as convener, Juha Klami as representative of Itäväylä and chairman Osmo Ristolainen as representative of resident association.The grounds for the winning name were it's originality and the way it describes the area. |
